MIDDLE CLASS TRASH

MIDDLE CLASS TRASH was a punk/alternative/hardcore band from Paducah Kentucky from the 2000's to the early 2010's. They released a demo CD, a self-titled full length on Jailhouse Records, and 2 EP's on Sixty Nine Apple Recordings, titled "One Thing Left" and "Side Effects". Band members were Leighton Allen (currently of Sarsen Circle) on bass, Jon Grace on drums, Adam Martin on guitar and vocals, and Michael Smith on guitar.

Wolves of Warsaw

Wolves of Warsaw was a Pop-Punk/Alternative band from Paducah, KY during the early/mid 2010's. Brian Crowder on Guitar/Vocals, Jacob Hutson on Guitar/Vocals, Blake Perry on Bass and Josh Hutson on Drums/Vocals. They had a Facebook page at one point, but all I could still find was their old Reverbnation page and some stray Youtube videos.

somethingoesWrong

somethingoesWrong was a comedic hardcore band based out of West Kentucky and East Tennessee. The group was founded by Jonah Harper and Clayton Otts of The Mutants at Table 9 while that band was on hiatus as they searched for new members. Clayton and Wade handled vocal duties, Jonah played bass and guitar, Justin played keyboard, and Searge played drums. They only recorded three songs in Clayton's house, and never performed live. The group dissolved due to lack of transportation and the reformation of TMaT9. Jonah, Clayton, Seth, and Alex of TMaT9 attempted to reform the project under the name "Mista Mimez", though only one song was recorded and lost.

We're All Doctors

We're All Doctors was a short-lived band from Western Kentucky during the early 2010's. The band was founded by Jonah Harper of The Mutants at Table 9 on guitar, Seth Tracy of The War of 1812 on drums, and Kenny Patterson on vocals. The group never played live, and only recorded several low-quality improvised demos which were never officially released. 

Due to some of Seth's outside dramas, a Myspace hate-page titled "We're All Cocksuckers" was created by detractors. While it was deleted within a day or two, the band still decided to change their name. "A Thousand Knives, A Thousand Plagues" was the initial idea, but they eventually settled on the name "She Owns The Sky".

Under this new name, Kenny swapped to guitar duties with Jonah, and Alex Holland took over vocal duties. The group recorded some videos in Seth's shed, but they are long lost. The band came to an end when Jonah rejoined The Mutants at Table 9 and took Seth and Alex along, while Kenny would eventually front the band Madeline. This is a group almost no one knows about, and understandably so as the music is nearly unlistenable and was really only made for their own entertainment.

The War of 1812

The War of 1812 was/is? a deathcore band from southern Illinois during the early 2010's. The band was fronted by Seth Tracy, who briefly played drums in The Mutants at Table 9 and We're All Doctors but now releases music as Scout. The other members included Clayton Bean, Casey Cummins and Shaun Albright on guitar, Laura Holly, Casey and Ricky Davenport on bass, Thomas Hoffee and Ricky Davenport on drums. The band officially released one EP, "Feed Me To The Sea" in 2011 and a full-length, "Alpha/Omega" in 2012. In 2019, the band came back online to release a new instrumental EP titled "Glaciers"

Their Myspace bio in 2011 read:

"Sternum crushing breakdowns with haunting guitar leads. Slow and beautiful instrumentation. The War of 1812 is a five piece band from southern Illinois. After touring the mid-western region of the United States in 2010 after the release of their first E.P. (The Overture), the band is looking to take the rest of their home country by storm.

After solidifying their line up and getting experienced vocalist Seth Tracy, the band started writing new music, mixing brutal metal with ear pleasing melodies. The band wants nothing more than to play shows all over the country, and show everyone the music they have put everything they have into. If there is a show in your area, do not miss out."

Shark Week

Shark Week was a punk band from Paducah, Kentucky during the early 2010's. According to their Facebook, they described themselves as "girl fronted "party punk with songs about pressing social/moral issues including but not limited to unrequited love for Hulk Hogan, serious Pokémon habits and plenty of food/sex analogies."

Download includes "Are You Afraid of the Shark?" EP, a collection of unreleased singles, and a live album. Also included are a ton of pictures, as well as two live videos. More videos likely exist, but due to them sharing a name with a popular TV series, they're hard to find.

My Friend The Ghost

My Friend The Ghost was an emo/pop-punk band from Clarksville, Tennessee during the late 2000's. As far as I know, they only released a five song demo, three of which have been tracked down. Members included Dusty and Grant on vocals and guitar, Benton on bass, and Jason on drums.

Fahrenheit 514

Fahrenheit 514 was a punk band from (I think) Mayfield, Kentucky. From what info I could find, they consisted of Ethan on guitar and vocals, Brian on bass and vocals, Tyler on guitar, and Shawn on drums. Adam Grant and the Satisfaction

Adam Grant and the Satisfaction was a rock band from Paducah, Kentucky. They played Country Fest and tons of local gigs, and released several professionally recorded and released projects. I don't have much information on the project, so please check out our page on how you can contribute if you know/have anything.

Perry Vincent

Perry Vincent began as a deathcore band based out of Dyersburg, Tennessee. During this time, their lineup consisted of Tyler on vocals, Aaron on drums, DJ, Madison and Jonathan on guitar, and Jordan on bass. In May of 2008, the band replaced vocalist Tyler with Lee, and pivoted to a more hardcore/beatdown sound. In their original iteration, they released an EP titled "They Only Destroy Us." Following their genre-shift, they only released one demo for the song "Sleeveless in Seattle". During their full run, they played with Vanna, My Children My Bride, See You Next Tuesday, Gaza, Recon, and My Virgin Eyes, just to name a few major-label artists. Locally, they played with pretty much everyone. When they disbanded, they posted the following goodbye message to their Myspace:

Ok, heres the deal. Basically DJ has decided to move on and pursue other things. He wasn't happy with us or what we were doing anymore. Also, we are very broke and at a hard stage in life with money issues. We currently have no guitar or bass equipment that's fit for a show, no van or trailer, and no merch to sale. A few of us might possibly be starting up something new once we are back on our feet. There's a lot of talk and a lot of rumors about what certain people might be doing what. We are very sorry for the sudden breakup cuz we know we have let our scene and selves down. Thank you so much for all the support and love. - PV

However, this wasn't the end of the story. In 2018, the band started posting to Facebook teasers of them in the studio. This would result in a 2020 self-titled EP being released. These songs were finished, newly recorded versions of the material they wrote after changing vocalists back in 2008. The EP is on streaming services, and is notably the most recent material released by pretty much and of the original 2000's bands known in the scene.

Geodudes

I don't personally know much about Geodudes, as they came onto the scene when I was getting out. According to their Myspace via 2009, members included Richie on vocals, Adam and Caleb on guitar, Wes on bass, and Anthony on drums. Here is their old Reverbnation bio:

"Realist hardcore from Carbondale, IL. Built on working class values, Geodudes refuses to bow their heads to gain favor. Headstrong, stubborn, angry hardcore, with an anchor in family and friends. Drawing influences from bands like Madball, Death Before Dishonor, and Trash Talk, welcome to the Geocrew."

According to the song file metadata, these might have been intended for an album titled "The Crew", though Myspace hosted songs under the album names "Demo 2009" and "Country Grammar", though those songs are currently lost. According to an old press release, they had a five song demo around at some point. 

War On Winsday / Home Built Heroes

Home Built Heroes, formerly known as War On Winsday, was a pop-punk/hardcore band from Paducah, Kentucky. They played some Blue Building shows, plus a spot at the final Country Fest. 

Here is their social media bio from when they were known as War On Winsday:

"Hailing from Paducah Ky, War On Winsday was formed by lead singer Collin McManus in his freshmen year of high school. He enlisted his friends Jon Faughn, Jake Wissinger, Brandon Perry, Kevin Dowdy, and Brandon Howe. After a few months of practice they played their first show at a local community center, and more shows began to follow. Within a few short weeks the band began playing shows on a weekly basis, and formed a large fan basis in their community. Soon the band began playing larger shows to crowds of over 300+ people. The band developed a unique sound that mixes pop-punk, with hardcore."

Here I Am, Send Me

 
Here I Am, Send Me was a short-lived project that featured several members of Horizontal Orange after their breakup. While they may sound similar to HO, they distinguished themselves by fully embracing their christian faith.

Consuming Dawn

 
Consuming Dawn was a Christian melodic-metalcore band from the Paducah, Kentucky area. Members included Holden on vocals, Dustin and Forest on guitar, Travis on bass, and Mitchel on drums. Members would go on to play in a band called Bushido, though their music is thought to be lost.

An Hero / WestKentuckyNoiseMachine

 
An Hero was a "screamo-core" band from Kentucky. They consisted of Cody singing/screaming, Rob on guitar, Bumper (Gathered Here Today) on bass, Damion (The Mutants at table 9) on guitar/singing, and Clayton (The Mutants at table 9) on drums. The band was on Epitaph Records website as the leading unsigned band trying to win a record deal. They played at least one Countryfest as well. Towards the end of their lifespan they went by the name WestKentuckyNoiseMachine.

The Opal Shore

The Opal Shore was an indie electro-acoustic side-project of Brian & Country of Horizontal Orange. They never performed any shows, only releasing five songs on Myspace. on February 9th 2013, Country shared a new Opal Shore instrumental to his soundcloud page.

Download includes only the 6 songs ever made available. These files were downloaded back in the day from Myspace using file2hd so they are sadly pretty low-quality. 

The Mutants at Table 9

The Mutants at Table 9 were a southern-hardcore band from Western Kentucky. Their name is a reference to the Adam Sandler film "The Wedding Singer". Members of the band played in several local bands. Clayton Otts, the bands vocalist, founded the group after his former band 25 to Life ended, and he would go on to play drums in An Hero and The Jubilee. Jeriel Clark, who played lead guitar, would go on to play in Crowned. Jonah Harper joined on bass, and later on, guitar, and would eventually co-found It's A Trap! Records. During their final era, Seth Tracy joined on drums, and would later go on to front the deathcore band The War of 1812 based out of Illinois. Samuel Chapman played guitar briefly, but would go on to play in The Jubilee and post-Horizontal Orange project Here I Am, Send Me. Other members included Alex Holland on bass, Damion Walker on guitar, JD Robinson on guitar, Steve-O on drums, and more I don't remember. 

The band only ever released one EP titled "BANG!!?" during their early days. In their final iteration, several songs were recorded but lost, including a track featuring vocals by Brian of Horizontal Orange. The band played with most of the heavy bands of the scene, with many performances at Countryfest and The Blue Building.

Parasite Diet

 

Parasite Diet were/are a pop-punk/power-pop band from Paducah, Kentucky. A notable gem in their discography is the song "Missin' You" which features special performance from country darling and local legend Kelsey Waldon.

No Hope For Friday

No Hope For Friday was an emo band during the early to mid 2000's who played local shows around Kentucky and Illinois, with some notable appearances at Countryfest and The Blue Building. The band formed while attending Graves County High School in Mayfield, Kentucky. The founding members were Andrew Turner, Aaron Green, Kris Puckett, and JC Thomas. A fifth member was added later named Justin.
